UNION, S.C. (AP) - A Union man has been arrested and accused of threatening to kill Sheriff Union County Sheriff David Taylor.

Forty-year-old Dean lee Clark Gibson was arrested Sunday night and charged with illegal use of the telephone and threatening the life of a public official.

Sheriff’s deputies said Gibson called 911 and made threats to a dispatcher. A sheriff’s report said that after Gibson was placed in a holding cell, he told a deputy he had a bullet waiting for Taylor.

It was not clear if Gibson has an attorney.
