RIVERDALE, Iowa (AP) - The Alcoa EagleCam shows that the first egg of the season has been laid in an eastern Iowa nest watched by millions on the Internet.

The nest at the Alcoa Davenport Works property in Riverdale is home to parents dubbed Liberty and Justice.

Alcoa installed the webcam three years ago and the streaming images of the eagles draw millions of viewers.

John Riches, of Alcoa, tells the Quad-City Times (https://bit.ly/1jvcAjV ) there usually are two or three eggs a season, and the eggs usually come within one or two days of each other.

Riches says he expects hits on the website, alcoa.com/eaglecam, will spike now that an egg is visible.
