PHOENIX (AP) - American Airlines is moving its operations from one part of Sky Harbor International Airport to another in Phoenix to be in the same terminal with merger partner US Airways.

American will move its Sky Harbor operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 on Wednesday, joining US Airways in Terminal 4.

The change affects ticketing and check-in gates as well as baggage and customer service operations.

The latest American departure on Tuesday night will leave from Terminal 3, while the first one on Wednesday morning will depart from Terminal 4.

American says the move will provide easy access for passengers connecting between flights.
