MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Frontier Airlines says it will offer direct flights between Denver and Missoula beginning June 13.

Cris Jensen, director of Missoula International Airport, says the new service could help stop the leakage of passengers to other airports, including those in Bozeman and Spokane, Wash. He says about 30,000 people who live near the Missoula airport choose other airports each year.

Jensen also tells The Missoulian (https://bit.ly/Mp1HUD ) he hopes the increased competition will drive down ticket prices.

The Denver-based airline will offer service from Missoula to Denver on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It will offer service from Denver to Missoula on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
