Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad said that while New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie might have a New Jersey attitude, he’d welcome him to the Hawkeye State for his re-election campaign.
“He’s been very successful and I think he’s been a strong leader for New Jersey and he won a dramatic reelection [with] over 60 percent of the vote, but in Iowa, you know, we like hard-working and humble politicians,” Mr. Branstad said Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
“My advice to him is be a good listener, be humble, and come to Iowa,” Mr. Branstad said.
“He made a great impression when he came and campaigned for me in 2010 and I would certainly welcome him and any other Republican governor to come and campaign for me in support of our Republican ticket.”
