MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia University is planning pedestrian and vehicular safety improvements on its Evansdale campus.

The university says the upgrades include realigning an intersection and installing a new pedestrian crosswalk and signal there. A four-way traffic light at the intersection will be upgraded to accommodate a new access road from the Coliseum parking lot.

The university also plans to install a three-way traffic light and a pedestrian crosswalk and signal at another intersection.

The Board of Governors approved the safety improvements on Friday, along with renovations to the College of Law building.
