BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - The search for a missing Butte man last seen Wednesday has been suspended.

Butte-Silver Bow Undersheriff George Skuletich tells the Montana Standard (https://bit.ly/1nYE4hM) that no new information surfaced Saturday concerning 54-year-old Jim Ryan.

His wife reported him missing about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities believe Ryan, an avid runner, went to the Delmoe Lake area in Jefferson County for a run on his way to work.

Authorities used On-Star to track Ryan’s car to the lake area, off Homestake Pass. His car was found locked near the trailhead with no sign of foul play.

Authorities say the search has been hampered by deepening snow, and more snow is predicted for Sunday and Monday.

Ryan is Caucasian, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 160 pounds.
