DALLAS (AP) - A worker who filed suit after he was injured by ice and snow falling from the roof of Cowboys Stadium during the week before the 2011 Super Bowl heads to court this week.
Severin Sampson contends in his Dallas County lawsuit he suffered a skull fracture and has continuing medical problems.
His attorney, Brian Butcher, tells The Dallas Morning News (https://dallasne.ws/1p8hVBa) the Dallas Cowboys and the stadium architects failed to account for the possibility of ice and snow and that it could fall from the roof.
At least six people were hurt on the Friday before the Super Bowl three years ago.
A lawyer for the Cowboys and the National Football League, Levi McCathern, says he’s eager to present his case but won’t comment before the trial set for Tuesday.
