NEW YORK (AP) - A teenager has been arrested in a New York City street shooting that wounded three people, including a 79-year-old woman who was running errands.

The New York Police Department said Saturday that 18-year-old Christopher Lopez was arrested on attempted murder and other charges in Wednesday’s gunfire on Morris Park Avenue in the Bronx. No phone number can immediately be found for Lopez’ Bronx address. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer.

The shooting happened in midafternoon by a strip of storefronts. Two teenagers were injured, one in the arm and one in the leg.

The 79-year-old woman was shot in the hand. Her daughter told WABC-TV her mother had been out paying some bills.

Police say the shooting appears to have stemmed from bad blood between different groups of teens.
