PHOENIX (AP) - U.S Sen. John McCain has attended a series of meetings and town halls in Arizona.
McCain began the day Friday with an event at Arizona State University’s west campus before hosting a town hall for students at Grand Canyon University.
McCain spoke about numerous issues, including the ongoing immigration debate and his desire to see the border fully secured before Congress takes up overall reform. McCain also spoke about unrest in Ukraine and Syria.
Later in the day, the Republican senator met with employees at the defense and aerospace company BAE Systems in Phoenix.
