NEW YORK (AP) - Maodo Lo scored 15 points and hit a pair of go-ahead free throws with 14 seconds left to help Columbia outlast Brown 70-68 on Friday night.

Trailing by four with 2:20 remaining, Columbia’s Alex Rosenberg hit a layup. He missed a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession, but Jeff Coby was fouled corralling the offensive rebound and sank both free throws to knot up the score with 1:23 left.

After two misses on Brown’s end with a Lion turnover in between, Lo was fouled and drilled both from the line for the final margin. Following an offensive board by Dockery Walker, Sean McGonagill couldn’t connect on a 3-pointer as time expired.

Rosenberg finished with 23 points and Meiko Lyles hit 5 of 5 3-pointers to chip in 21 points and nine boards for Columbia (16-10, 5-4 Ivy League).

McGonagill had 20 points for the Bears (13-10, 5-4).
