Taxpayers are getting an average of $190 more on their refunds this year, the IRS said Thursday.

So far, the average refund for the 2013 tax year is $3,211, which works out to more than $100 billion that taxpayers overpaid and are getting back from the government, the IRS said.

At this point last year, the agency had paid out $81.9 billion, with the average refund totaling $3,021.
