SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (AP) - South Windsor police have identified two men who died after one of them raised a dump truck bed into overhead electrical wires.

Police Chief Matthew Reed says 55-year-old Lloyd Folsom Jr. and 22-year-old Connor Betts were electrocuted Wednesday on the property of Folsom’s construction company.

Authorities say it appears Betts raised the truck bed into the electrical wires by accident while trying to clear snow out of the back, and Folsom was electrocuted when he tried to help Betts. Betts worked for Folsom Construction.

Both men were taken to hospitals after utility crews shut off power to the area.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
