MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Montana linebacker Jordan Tripp is among about 300 National Football League prospects invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, which starts Saturday in Indianapolis.

The Missoulian reports (https://bit.ly/1haAn6D ) the 6-foot-3, 240-pound Tripp will be tested Monday along with a group of 34 other linebackers. Players will be evaluated based on physical ability as well as psychological and intelligence tests and interviews.

Montana defensive coordinator Ty Gregorak says he believes Tripp could be a third- to fifth-round draft pick.

Tripp was named to numerous All-America teams and led the South team with six tackles in last month’s Senior Bowl. Gregorak says in addition to Tripp’s tackling ability, he is a quality long snapper.

The University of Montana is also holding its annual Pro Day in mid-March, giving Tripp and other NFL hopefuls another chance to work out for pro scouts.
