When the U.S. men’s hockey team meets Canada on Friday in the semifinals the stakes will be huge: the loser keeps Justin Bieber.

Chicago Sun-Times Blackhawks beat writer Mark Lazerus tweeted a picture of the joke on Thursday as it appeared on an electronic billboard along the city’s Edens Expressway.

“It is just brilliant!” said John Cullis, president of the Canada-U.S. Business Council Chicago and a Lakeview resident, DNAinfo Chicago reported.

The billboard features Blackhawks players Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews of Team USA and Team Canada, respectively.

The U.S.-Canada clash — a rematch of the 2010 gold medal game — will take place Friday at 12 p.m. ET.
