LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A new employee survey at the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission shows that morale has improved among the agency’s workers.

The percentage of employees who say they are satisfied or somewhat satisfied with agency morale jumped to 68 percent from 15 percent in 2012. The commission said Thursday that the survey included identical questions from the 2012 survey so the evaluations could be directly compared.

The new survey indicates 85 percent of employees agree that the overall direction of the agency is benefiting wildlife resources. In 2012, 56 percent agreed.

More than 400 employees took part in the survey.

Game and Fish Director Mike Knoedl says he’s pleased with the results but wants to do more to improve morale.

The survey was performed by Responsive Management of Harrisonburg, Va.
