Robin Wright, the actress who plays Claire Underwood on “House of Cards,” was in Washington, D.C., to research her role as a powerful politician’s wife and found: This place is seedier than Hollywood.
Why?
A “senior person” in the Obama administration told her that journalists actually do have sex with their Capitol Hill sources — just like in her Netflix production, she said, in an interview with Capitol File magazine.
“D.C. is more corrupt than Hollywood,” she said, The Blaze reported. “It really is. It’s more sleazy than Hollywood … how much infidelity goes on.”
She declined to give further details. The second season of “House of Cards” was released on Netflix last week.
