EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - The temperature in northern New Jersey, when the Super Bowl kicked off on Sunday night, was 49 degrees.

Though there was snow early in the week, and frigid cold temperatures and wind accompanying it, it felt more like a spring night when the Seattle Seahawks kicked off to the Denver Broncos inside MetLife Stadium at 6:32 p.m. EST.

The Seahawks won the coin toss, and elected to kick.
