JIM THORPE, Pa. (AP) - State police launched a homicide probe after firefighters found human remains while battling a northeastern Pennsylvania brush fire.

Jim Thorpe firefighters made the discovery Saturday morning in a wooded area of the borough.

State police say the remains belong to an unidentified female.
