LA VISTA, Neb. (AP) - Former major-league manager Jack McKeon will be the featured speaker at the Bob Gibson Heritage Banquet on April 22 in La Vista.

In 1969 McKeon became the first manager of the minor-league Omaha Royals. He later managed the Kansas City Royals, and at age 72 was the oldest manager to win a World Series when he guided the 2003 Florida Marlins past the New York Yankees.

Former Kansas City Royals second baseman Frank White and National Baseball Hall of Fame president Jeff Idelson also will appear.

The 6 p.m. event will be held at the Embassy Suites. Tickets are $100 each.
