LONDON (AP) - Fulham has confirmed the departure of Rene Meulensteen almost a week after Felix Magath replaced him in charge of the Premier League’s bottom team.
Magath became Fulham’s third manager of the season last Friday when he was hired to replace Meulensteen, who lasted just 75 days at the helm after succeeding Martin Jol.
Fulham also said four other members of the coaching staff, Alan Curbishley, Ray Wilkins, Mick Priest and Jonathan Hill have left Craven Cottage.
With Fulham facing relegation, owner Shad Kahn announced that Thomas Oral has joined as first-team coach and Werner Leuthard as conditioning coach.
Khan says “the focus is singularly on winning football matches and remaining in the … Premier League. The work has begun.”
