A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck just northeast of Barbados, the U.S. Geological Survey reported on Tuesday.
It’s not clear yet if the quake caused any damage, The Associated Press reported. So far, no casualties have been reported.
But a local media outlet, Barbados Today, reported that the shaking caused some islanders — especially on the north and east areas — to be shaken from their sleep.
The last time Barbados was hit by an earthquake was just a month ago — on Dec. 15 and then another one on Dec. 16, Barbados Today reported.
