PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Rhode Island’s health insurance marketplace is holding another series of enrollment assistance events ahead of the next deadline to sign up for coverage.
HealthSource RI has scheduled drop-in events on Tuesday in Lincoln, Wednesday in Warwick and Thursday in Cranston. Attendees will be able to learn about health plans offered through the so-called health benefits exchange and whether they qualify for tax credits to offset the monthly premiums. They can also get help signing up.
The deadline to enroll and pay for individual and family coverage that starts on March 1 is Sunday.
The enrollment assistance events will continue into next month.
The first open enrollment period ends on March 31.
