ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - A man from St. Petersburg is accused of threatening the life of a Pinellas Park police officer on Facebook.

The Tampa Bay Times (https://bit.ly/1oMQxZd ) reports 35-year-old Bruce Allen Santee wrote on Facebook about a traffic stop in Pinellas Park around 2 a.m. on Monday.

Police say Santee identified the officer by name on Facebook and offered $100 to anyone who would kill him.

According to police, Santee was a front seat passenger in a vehicle driven by a woman who failed to yield at a stop sign. She was pulled over.

Santee was arrested Monday afternoon. He’s charged with making threats to kill or do bodily injury, which is a second-degree felony. He was released from the Pinellas County Jail on $10,000 bail.

No attorney was listed on jail records.
