ELK RIVER, Minn. (AP) - No one was hurt when two Northstar trains and a car collided near Elk River.

Metro Transit officials report that the car was struck by both northbound and southbound trains Tuesday evening.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1nLQYQf ) reports trains were being delayed and buses being used to transport commuters.

Further details about the crash weren’t available.

Tuesday’s crash was the second train-car collision this week. A woman and her infant son escaped injury Monday morning when the car they were in was hit by a Northstar commuter train in Elk River.
