MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - A special committee of the Vermont Legislature is set to take public testimony this week on the performance of six judges.

The Joint Committee on Judicial Retention has scheduled a hearing for 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room 7 of the Statehouse.

The panel reviews the performance of each judge every six years in his or her tenure, and recommends to the full Legislature whether the judge should be kept on the bench.

The judges up for review this year include Nancy Corsones, Amy Davenport, Kate Hayes, Martin Maley, David Suntag and Thomas Walsh.
