CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Developments at the Wyoming Legislature on Fri., Feb. 14, the fifth day of the 2014 Budget Session:

BUDGET BILL: Both the House and the Senate began hearing the $3.3-billion general government appropriations bill. Top lawmakers say they expect both houses to vote on amendments this week and send the bill to a conference committee by Friday that will resolve differences in the House and Senate versions.

SCHOOL BUSES: The House approved a bill that would require school buses transporting students to be equipped with internal and external video systems. The bill now goes to the Senate.

TAXIDERMISTS: The House for the second time voted to approve a bill that would require licensure of taxidermists. The bill would need one more approval in the House before heading to the Senate.

STATE PARKS: A bill that would allow law enforcement officers who work at state parks to participate in the state’s law enforcement retirement plan received its second vote of approval in the House.

COURT SECURITY: The Senate for the third time approved a bill that would create a $10-million court security assistance fund. The bill now goes to the House.

GAME AND FISH: The Senate for the second time voted to approve a bill that would require the Wyoming Game and Fish Department to submit separate budget requests to fund its grizzly bear management program and its employee health insurance costs.
