DETROIT (AP) - Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan plans to deliver his first State of the City address later this month.
The mayor’s office on Monday announced that Duggan will give the speech Feb. 26 at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center.
Attendance is by invitation only. The speech will be streamed online and broadcast live.
State-appointed emergency manager Kevyn Orr runs Detroit’s finances and the city is undergoing the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history.
Still, Duggan has been working to improve city services. He’s said removing blight and strengthening neighborhoods remain priorities.
