SOCHI, Russia (AP) - Ryan Miller has been named the starting goaltender for the U.S. against Slovenia.

The star of the Americans’ silver-medal winning team four years ago sat and watched Jonathan Quick play in the first two games of the 2014 Olympics.

Miller was to start Sunday against Slovenia, the final preliminary-round game for both teams.

Quick made 29 saves and stopped five attempts in a 3-2 shootout victory over Russia. He also helped the U.S. open the Sochi Games with a 7-1 win against Slovakia.
