JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Seven account owners have retrieved more than $1 million in unclaimed property from the state treasurer’s office since November.

The Jefferson City News-Tribune (https://bit.ly/MWJSwC) reports Treasurer Clint Zweifel has $810 million in unclaimed property belonging to 4.7 million account owners. That includes 71 accounts with more than $100,000.

Zweifel announced a program in December that allows Missouri residents to donate their unclaimed property to one of 20 charitable organizations.

More than half of all Missouri residents can search, claim or donate their property online.
