SOCHI, Russia (AP) - T.J. Oshie may be the man of the hour for Team USA hockey after scoring four shootout goals in a preliminary round game against Russia, but he’s keeping the game in perspective.

He demurred when asked several questions about his accomplishment on Saturday night, saying he’s not a hero, he’s not sure where the game will rank among his personal bests and he’d be fine with avoiding Russia in a final if possible.

After all, it was a preliminary round game, even if it stirred up lots of excitement. The U.S. plays Slovenia in its next game on Saturday.

“It would be nice if that was the gold medal game but we’ve got a long ways to go to get there,” Oshie said.
