GRAMBLING, La. (AP) - Two grants totaling $1.8 million have been awarded by the Air Force to two Grambling State University professors.
The News-Star reports (https://tnsne.ws/1aQSSi6 ) Yenumula Reddy, a computer science professor, and Naidu Seetala, a physics professor, will conduct research on computing, robotics and related applications.
The grants are part of an Air Force research program to develop war-fighting technologies.
One of the research projects will address technical barriers involved in developing ultra-high temperature ceramic materials for use in aerospace defense and national security applications.
The grants will also provide educational and research opportunities for GSU students.
Five students will receive internships positions at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
