ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Two-time Olympian Chloe Sutton broke the meet record in the 400-meter freestyle Friday night in the Arena Grand Prix event at YMCA Aquatic Center.

Sutton, from Mission Viejo, Calif., finished in 4 minutes, 10.11 seconds to edge Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu.

Hosszu, the 400 individual medley and 200 freestyle winner Thursday night, was second in 4:10.50. She won the 200 butterfly Friday in a meet-record 2:08.47.

Americans Micah Lawrence and Sean Mahoney also broke meet records. Lawrence, from Pflugerville, Texas, won the 200 breaststroke in 2:25.97, and Mahoney, from Rio Vista, Calif., took the 200 breaststroke in 2:14.03.

Canada’s Ryan Cochrane won the 400 freestyle, breaking his own meet record with a time of 3:49.83.

Hungary’s David Verraszto won the 200 butterfly in 1:59.59, the Bahamas’ Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace took the women’s 50 freestyle in 25.55, and Brazil’s Bruno Fratus took the men’s race in a meet-record 22.00. Britain’s Elizabeth Simmonds won the women’s 100 backstroke in 1:01.26, and Russia’s Arkady Vyatchanin broke the meet record in the men’s race with a time of 54.07.

The meets ends Saturday.
