TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa has suspended senior guard Pat Swilling Jr. pending a university disciplinary investigation and hearing.

Details were not disclosed Wednesday. A school spokesman said it is against university policy to discuss ongoing disciplinary proceedings.

Swilling averages 8.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game for the Golden Hurricane and coach Danny Manning. Swilling started his college career at St. Joseph’s, then transferred and sat out the 2011-12 season. He averaged 10.7 points per game last season.

Swilling’s father, Pat, is a former All-Pro?linebacker who played for the New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders. He was named to the College Football Hall of Fame after a stellar career at Georgia Tech.
