ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - A 21-year-old man faces up to 23 months in jail in a stabbing that injured two members of a University of Michigan fraternity.

The Ann Arbor News reports (https://bit.ly/1lB6FdJ ) Davonte Northern of Monroe pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon in the stabbings early Nov. 1. As part of a plea deal, charges including assault with intent to commit great bodily harm will be dismissed.

Northern is free on bond ahead of sentencing, which is scheduled for March 25.

Officials have said Sigma Alpha Epsilon was holding a Halloween party, and Northern had been asked to leave several times. Northern told the court he assaulted the two students with a pair of scissors, cutting one on the arm and one on the back.
