AMHERST, Mass. (AP) - Sherrod Wright scored 22 points and Erik Copes had 12 points and 15 rebounds as George Mason handed UMass its first home loss in 11 games this season with a 91-80 win Wednesday night.

Byron Allen had 19 points for the Patriots (9-15, 2-8 Atlantic-10), who won their second straight after a nine-game losing streak. Marquise Moore had 12 points and 5 assists and Patrick Halloway had 13 points off the bench.

George Mason made 22 of 29 free throws, including 9 of 10 in the last 90 seconds.

Trey Davis came off the bench to score a career-high 20 for the Minutemen (19-5, 6-4), who shot 39.7 percent, including just 7 of 25 3-pointers. Sampson Carter added 16 points and Cady Lalanne had 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Copes scored the first six points of the second half to stretch a 10-point lead to 48-32.
