INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Denver Nuggets will be without their top two point guards when they face the Indiana Pacers.
Ty Lawson has been ruled out for Monday night’s game after breaking one of his left ribs. Backup Nate Robinson is out due to a sprained anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Coach Brian Shaw says he spent Sunday’s day off searching for a solution and has decided to use Randy Foye at the point. He’s hoping his versatile big men can help out with the ballhandling, too.
Finding a point guard isn’t the only injury problem for Shaw. Denver also will be without Danilo Gallinari (left knee) and JaVale McGee (left leg), leaving the Nuggets (24-25) without almost one-third of their roster against the NBA-leading Pacers (39-11).
