POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Jay Bowie’s career-high 31 points led Marist over Niagara 78-64 on Saturday.

Bowie was 11 of 14 from the field, including 4 of 6 beyond the arc, and pulled down eight rebounds. Marist (8-14, 5-7 Metro Atlantic) got 14 points from Chavaughn Lewis and Adam Kemp had 10.

The first half was closely played, as Marist scored six of the final eight points of the frame to lead 38-35 at the break.

But Niagara (6-17, 3-9) missed eight of its first nine shots in the second half as Marist went on an 11-0 run - including a pair of layups by Bowie - to open up a 12-point lead midway through. A trey by Khallid Hart at 10:35 extended that lead to 22 and though Niagara chipped away, never really challenged down the stretch.

Antoine Mason led Niagara with 19 points. Marcus Ware added 14 and Marvin Jordan 12.
