TROY, Ala. (AP) - Ed Townsel and Rakeem Dickerson led Arkansas State with 19 points each as the Red Wolves held a comfortable lead at the half and continued to pull away for an 83-73 victory over Troy on Saturday night.

Townsel, Dickerson, and Cameron Golden each made three 3-pointers and the Red Wolves (12-8, 5-4 Sun Belt) combined to make 11 from distance. Golden came off the bench to finish with 18 points and Melvin Johnson III scored 10 to round out four Arkansas State players scoring in double figures.

Golden hit the final shot of the first half to give the Red Wolves a 44-36 lead, and Dickerson opened up the second with a 3-pointer to go ahead 47-36.

Tevin Calhoun and Kevin Thomas scored 16 points each to lead the Trojans (7-14, 2-7) and Antoine Myers added 14 with 11 rebounds. Troy got no closer than seven in the second half.
