New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is defending his love for the F-word after being called a poor sport for an expletive-filled rant that aired during a recent game against the Green Bay Packers.
“We’re not choirboys, I know that,” Brady said Monday in an interview with Boston sports radio station WEEI, the New York Post reported. “So you bring us up to a certain level of intensity to the game, and it’s your job is to go out there and physically, emotionally, mentally dominate the game.”
Brady admitted that there’s no other word out there that quite expresses the way he feels sometimes better than the F-word.
“I wish I did have a better mouth out there at times, but there’s nothing that quite expresses the way I feel like that word. It is, it is [a great word], especially in the heat of the moment,’’ he said, admitting that wife Gisele Bündchen doesn’t let him curse at home, The Post reported.
“No, I don’t say it at home. It’s pretty well-filtered in the house. Blame CBS and NBC for putting it on TV. Don’t blame me,” he said.
