Just when you thought Obama and the demo-rats couldn’t sink any lower, nor find another way to “Blame it on Bush,” comes a new intelligence report released by Sen. Dianne Feinstein critical of the torture and other activities claimed to have been committed by the CIA under the Bush administration.

Mrs. Feinstein is losing her chairmanship of the Senate Intelligence Committee next month, based largely on the lack of “intelligence” shown by the Democratic Party. The release of this report now, is tantamount to a temper tantrum aimed at punishing the American people for not keeping the Democrats in power.

Rep. Mike Rogers, the outgoing chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, explained on CNN, “Our foreign partners are telling us this will cause violence and deaths,” and “Our own intelligence community has assessed that this will cause violence and deaths.”

Of course, he’s right. Anyone with half a brain can look at the Muslim world and see that if just the publishing of cartoons of Mohammad caused over 200 deaths, the release of what our CIA and some rouge contractors may have done in the aftermath of the largest attack on our homeland, might cause some serious problems.  As any teenager, if given all the facts, would say, “Uhhh, duh!”

The CIA did do some things that today we may see as distasteful using 20/20 hindsight. More shocking though, is how quickly we have forgotten what it was like to live in a world where terrorists destroyed the Twin Towers right before our eyes, where men tried to blow up airplanes with shoes bombs and soiled diapers. And we had a planet occupied by two of history’s most evil men, Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden.

The unmentionable and uncountable atrocities committed by Hussein, Bin Laden, the Taliban and al Qaeda pales in comparison to what is in this report. Yet, it will take up scant space in the mainstream media.

More concerning than what the CIA and the Bush administration did in a time of war to stop the murder of innocents in the U.S.A., is the media, working so hard to defend the undefendable Obama administration.

As a side note, what ever happened to the war protesters who added to our national grief and distress, then magically disappeared once Obama was elected? But I digress.

Sorry, Sen. Feinstein, I have no problem with the way we treated Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the architect of the 9/11 attacks. My question is, why does Mrs. Feinstein?

Her feelings of superiority over the CIA, President Bush and others, shouldn’t take precedents over the feelings of the victims of 9/11, or our national psyche.

President Bush didn’t know everything that was being done and he put a stop to specific CIA activities, as did Congress, as did President Obama.  Now, we have successfully tied the hands of not just the CIA, but our military as well.

I have personally been to Iraq, toured Afghanistan, I have been embedded and gained had deep insights into the inner workings of the detention center at Guantanamo Bay. Let’s be clear, the information gathered by enhanced interrogation techniques, have saved lives, thousands of them.

Over the past few years, I have conducted numerous in depth interviews with former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. In those talks, he has described to me the steps taken to insure that a detainee, while made uncomfortable, was not harmed in a permanent way. Many of those steps, I believe, were overly sensitive.

Our men and women fought to stop the spread of terror around the globe, with rules of engagement that gave the enemy the upper hand to kill them. Even now, al Qaeda, the Taliban, ISIS and their buddies, cut off people’s heads on the Internet and seek ways to kill as many people possible, in the most horrific ways imaginable.

One of the few things this president has done right, he removed most of our troops from the Middle East and Afghanistan. Not that it was good strategy, but if we aren’t going to fight to win, then don’t waste one more penny nor one more precious drop of a patriotic soldier’s blood.

Why would we provide propaganda materials to ISIS and Al Qaeda while they continue their path of death on Western targets?  Who does this benefit, other than those who wish to destroy us?

Secretary of State John Kerry called Mrs. Feinstein and asked her to delay, (not stop), the release. Mr. Kerry believed, making the report public now would threaten the security of American personnel overseas.  If even Mr. Kerry, a guy who spoke out against our troops after his return from Vietnam, was against the release of this report, you know it’s got to be a bad idea.

How about this, we’ll release our inside info when our enemies do.

In the war on terror, we release our report the same day al Qaeda or the Islamic State does.

In the economic wars, when China releases their numbers, accurately, so will we. Russia, Iran, and so on, let’s just get it all out there.  Think those country would do that?  Would you trust their conclusions.

We are an open society and we should demand our government tell us what’s going on. But who does this information help most, the American people? Or does it benefit those who wish to hurt us, like ISIS, al Qaeda, Syria, Iran, China, or Russia?

Mrs. Feinstein said, “Anyone who reads this is going to never let this happen again.” Except, Senator, for the enemy we are fighting, who may just use this report as a “how to” manual.

While the Senator from California may, in 2014, believe the actions between 2001-09 were illegal, she cannot retroactively change the what the laws were at the time nor the rulings and advice of the attorneys general who’s job it was to provide the best legal advise to the president.  In war, nothing goes right and years later, it’s very easy to point fingers at the men and women who’s lives have been put in jeopardy.

This is just another, in a long line of devastating distractions, the democrats are famous for.  They’re not concerned about the long-term effects on our country.
This is just a diversion to get the focus off of the historically lousy way they and the President have run things over the years.

By the way, let’s compare Mr. Bush’s death toll with drones to Mr. Obama’s and see how well our Nobel Peace Prize-winning president holds up.

It’s easy to blame the good ol’ USA for mistakes in the past or for all the problems of the world.  We try to do what is right and have been forced to be the policemen of the world because nobody else will do the job with justice. Our enemies see that as weakness and just one of many reasons we must be eliminated.

We showed incredible restraint at a time when we should have unleashed a real jihad on the Taliban and al Qaeda. We made some very bad men, very uncomfortable for a while. Good, I’m glad! Why are we crying over mass murderers and their wannabes?

We should all be proud of and support the CIA.

Just think how many Americans could have been killed if we had continued to hide our heads in the sand, as we did before 9/11.

Unfortunately, with this report, Sen. Feinstein and President Obama dig themselves new holes from which to hide from the truth.  The blood that will be shed is on their hands.
