In a not-so-subtle recognition of America’s lasting love for Ronald Reagan, Democrats brought out a cardboard cutout of the former president to make points on the House floor — not once, but twice.

First, Oregon Rep. Earl Blumenauer set up the life-size cardboard image while delivering a speech on the gas tax to drive home the point that Mr. Reagan once supported a gas tax hike, and so then should the American people, Mediaite reported.

A day later, Rep. Luis Gutierrez of Illinois brought out the presidential prop to further his views of immigration, saying that Mr. Reagan once agreed to amnesty-type reforms as well.
