Two Boston police officers were reportedly attacked, beaten and choked by a group of teenagers Monday night while trying to serve an arrest warrant, police said.

The officers were allegedly jumped after arriving at a Wayne Street home in Dorchester to arrest 17-year-old Woobenson Morisset for defaulting on court appearances, a local CBS affiliate reported.

Police Commissioner William Evans told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 that when the officers were about to put handcuffs on the teen, he yelled out and people began funneling out of their apartments.

Six teenagers, including four girls aged 13 to 18, allegedly attacked the officers, kicking and punching them, the CBS affiliate reported.

The officers used pepper spray against the teens until backup arrived. Both officers were treated and released from the hospital with “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.

The teens were arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and resisting arrest, CBS reported. All of the suspects were arraigned Tuesday.

Outside of court, Lorcen Morisset denied assaulting the officers. “There was like five or six police,” he said. “I wasn’t doing anything.”

Two family members shot video of the incident on their cellphones before they were seized by police, the CBS affiliate reported.

“I am confident my client is innocent,” Woobenson Morisset’s attorney June Jensen said. “We’ll see what the video tape tells us.”
