Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, believed to be 91 years old, has been admitted to the hospital for undisclosed medical tests.

NBC News reported that the leader, who took power in 2005 when his brother King Fahd died, has undergone some surgery in the past related to a herniated disc.

“King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may God keep him, entered today, Wednesday … the King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard in Riyadh to undergo some medical tests,” a statement from the royal court read, NBC News reported.

In November 2012, the king went through 11 hours of surgery at the same hospital; in 2010, he underwent two surgeries in the United States for his herniated disc.
