Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton met privately with President Obama Wednesday at the White House.
A White House official who spoke on background said the two met “to catch up and enjoy an informal discussion on a wide range of issues.”
“As is well known, President Obama and Secretary Clinton enjoy getting together in person on a regular basis,” the official said.
The hourlong Oval Office meeting wasn’t on the president’s daily schedule that is distributed to reporters.
Mrs. Clinton held a “secret” lunch with the president at the White House in May, a meeting that was inadvertently disclosed by one of her friends.
