More than six in 10 Americans think Sony overreacted when it pulled “The Interview” form theaters in the wake of a cyberattack at the hands of North Korea and terror threats, but almost three-quarters say North Korea is a serious threat to the U.S.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is the most unpopular world leader in the CNN/ORC poll; 84 percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of him, compared to 1 percent of Americans polled who have a positive view.

Thirty-six percent of people polled say Sony made the right decision in pulling the comedy film depicting the assassination of the Korean leader from theaters, while 62 percent think the company overreacted.

The survey of 1,011 American adults was conducted Dec. 18-21.
