Hollywood star James Woods took to Twitter to unleash a scathing condemnation of the Rev. Al Sharpton — as well as New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and President Obama — for the shooting deaths of two police officers over the weekend.
And his assessment?
Beneath a photograph of Mr. Sharpton, Mr. Woods retweeted: “This disgusting pig is DIRECTLY responsible for the murder of two good policemen. No discussion,” The Daily Caller found.
Mr. Woods later removed the post, but then kept on tweeting the hashtag “#pigSharpton” in subsequent tweets, the news outlet said.
One of his posts: “#BlueLivesMatter #TurnYourBack #DeBlasioResign #RaceHucksters #PigSharpton.”
Another: “Previous RT speaks for itself. #BlueLivesMatter #TurnYourBack #PigSharpton #BoycottSony #DeBlasioResign.”
And in another, beneath a screen shot of Mr. Sharpton on Fox News with the television tag line, “fueling the flames,” Mr. Woods tweeted: “’I’m putting wings on pigs today’ — Cop assassin Ismaaiyl Brinsley. Is Race Pimp Sharpton eating caviar this morning?”
Mr. Woods also said the murders of the two New York City police officers were tantamount to a “Mission Accomplished” moment for Mr. Sharpton and Mr. Obama, The Daily Caller reported.
Beneath a photo of Mr. Obama and Mr. Sharpton smiling, with the president’s hand on the reverend’s back, Mr. Woods wrote: “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.”
Mr. Woods also turned his attention to Mr. de Blasio, giving seeming kudos to the police officers who turned their backs on the mayor during a Saturday press conference. He tweeted a photo of the conference, with police turned away from Mr. de Blasio, along with the accompanying picture text that read: “Tonight in New York … in a stunning show of solidarity … rows of NYPD turn their backs on de Blasio as he enters the press conference on murdered NYPD cops.”
He also retweeted out a picture of Mr. de Blasio’s face beneath the text: “Your cowardess just cost 2NYPD lives,” The Daily Caller said.
