Federal officials have arrested a Washington state man for allegedly posting death threats online targeting former Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Jaleel Tariq Abdul-Jabbaar of Kirkland was arrested early Tuesday after threatening to kill Mr. Wilson and his family soon after the now-retired officer shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown during an altercation on Aug. 9, The Associated Press reported.

The criminal complaint said Mr. Abdul-Jabbaar posted inflammatory messages for months that called on others to join him on a trip to Ferguson to “give back the bullets” that the officer fired at Brown, AP reported. The criminal complaint reportedly only refers to Mr. Wilson as D.W.

One post said: “We need to kill (the officer) and anything that has a badge on,” according to court documents. Mr. Abdul-Jabbaar also used Facebook to attempt to acquire a firearm, an ABC affiliate in Seattle reported.

Mr. Abdul-Jabbaar is scheduled to appear in federal court Tuesday afternoon.
