Trent Williams is considered questionable to play for the Washington Redskins against Philadelphia on Saturday because of a sprained right shoulder.
Williams, the Redskins’ starting left tackle, was unable to practice on Wednesday but returned to practice, albeit in a limited fashion, on Thursday. He was injured in Washington’s road loss to the New York Giants on Sunday when, in the third quarter, he collided with running back Alfred Morris while attempting to block Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul.
The Redskins ruled defensive end Jason Hatcher out for Saturday because of injury. Hatcher has been dealing with soreness in his right knee and didn’t play against the Giants. Inside linebacker Keenan Robinson is considered doubtful after he sprained the MCL in his left knee in the loss at Indianapolis on Nov. 30.
Strong safety Brandon Meriweather will miss his third consecutive game because of a sprained right big toe, and that injury will keep him out of the Dec. 28 finale against Dallas as well. The Redskins placed Meriweather on injured reserve, signing inside linebacker Steve Beauharnais to the 53-man roster to take his place.
Nose tackle Chris Baker (sprained right sternoclavicular joint), center Kory Lichstensteiger (sprained MCL in left knee), running back Roy Helu (turf toe in left foot), inside linebacker Will Compton (unspecified left shoulder injury) and strong safety Trenton Robinson (illness) are all considered probable for Saturday. The Redskins added defensive end Stephen Bowen to the injury report with an unspecified ankle injury, but he’s also listed as probable.
Outside linebacker Gabe Miller (sprained left ankle) has also been ruled out.
Every player listed on the Eagles’ injury report, except for quarterback Nick Foles (broken left collarbone) and defensive end Trent Cole (broken bone in left hand), was listed as probable. Foles and Cole were ruled out on Tuesday.
