An aide to Gwyneth Paltrow tried to prevent a journalist from taking a photo of the actress — and unabashed Obama fan — at a party at the White House Wednesday night.

Associated Press reporter Josh Lederman tweeted a blurry photo of Ms. Paltrow and said her aide “put his hand over my camera lens” as he snapped photos.

Ms. Paltrow apparently was at the White House for a holiday reception. She is a big fan of President Obama who hosted a fundraiser with him at her home in Los Angeles in October, when she gushed that the president was “so handsome that I can’t speak properly.”

The actress, who split from husband Chris Martin of Coldplay this year, also said Mr. Obama should have more power.

“It would be wonderful if we were able to give this man all of the power that he needs to pass the things that he needs to pass,” she said.
